Welcome to 2015! A year when cars should be able to fly, food hydrators are a staple kitchen item, and when our futuristic fashion sense starts kicking in:

Okay, so maybe the movie Back to the Future lied to us; we likely won’t be flying around the City of Edmonton on hover boards, but we will witness some new trends for 2015 in our home! To help you become the ultimate home trendnista we are sharing with you the upcoming trends for your home in 2015!
The main trend of 2015 is styling everything in your home! That means every room, every nook, every corner, every wall! Now this is not necessarily a new trend as it has been around for a few seasons – it just shows no sign of slowing down!
Online home furnishing and home accessory companies have exploded over the last few years making it easier to personalize every space in your home. From your bathroom to kitchen, hallway walls to living room rugs, get ready to start accessorizing your home at affordable prices. Some of my favorite online retailers include IKEA, Wayfair, Zara Home, Joss & Main, and Serena & Lily.

Creative DIY projects/ideas has been pinned all over the internet by bloggers making it even more affordable to stylize your home! You can also find some wonderful organizational ideas as well that will help make your home not only stylish but functional as well.

Another big trend happening in 2015 is color explosion in the kitchen! Black which boasts a modern feel and has been a popular color for a few years now will be returning along with a whole array of color spectrums for cabinets – think pastels, bright primary colors, cool shades of greys and more.

We have already witnessed color crossing over into the kitchen through small appliances like the pink Kitchen Aid mixer or bright red toasters; but be prepared to see even more color in larger appliances like refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, and ovens!
